Rainbow Profi Vanadium or focal k2p

Can you guys give suggestions on these 2 components? Most installer around my place has never heard of rainbows. And the focal k2p retail for much more then the vanadium. Can you guys let me know which are better quality and sound? I have listen to the focal and think it was very smooth and warm.

I know you guys will say that i have to listen to both to be able to tell myself, but which is more higher end. I can get them both around $600 each set, focal from ebay and the rainbow from one of the dealers here. So which is the better way to go? Are they in the same league? Why is the focal retail for more then the rainbows?

Weird. The Vanadiums are much smoother out of the box than the K2P's, yet still great air, shimmer and extension..

The K2P tweeter may not respond they way you may like in your OEM locations, and unless you have some good DSP/tuning available I find them harder to work with for what i feel is a similar end result. Both are very capable speakers, good off axis. But unless in a location /install suited for the K2P tweeter, it can rip your head off. And your needs call for 2 sets.

Why K2p retail for more? Overpriced? They sure can be found online everywhere, ebay ,even counterfits.

the rainbow vandium tweeter (cal26 titan) is an amazing tweeter. its very open and detailed yet natural. you can read my review, http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=230432. i have the vandium kickbasses as well and they freakin pound. i love how full it is and how much output it has. really amazing for a 6.5. you can also read my review of the kickbasses here, https://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13483. but i think if you were to go with a 2 way set, i'd suggest getting the phase plug set. its good combination for both midbass and midrange.

I've never heard the rainbows but the k2ps are pretty incredible.

I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice.

I'm in the same boat as Robble. I love the Focal's but haven't heard the Vandadium's.
