Rainbow germaniums

My cousin just got a set of rainbow components and they sound great. Now i am wanting some. How much do the germainiums go for?I am looking to spend about$250-$300. Any suggestions?

germs are about 400 - 425 i think maybe 450 not sure

In that price range, you would be better off going with the SLCs....

i think one of my classmates has them and he paid around $600 from a shop in town, a bit expensive for me but they do sound dam good i would have to admit

Definitly gun for some SLC or SLC Kick on that budget. If you like an aluminum tweeter, the Power Line CMX 2 way set is a very ballsy and dynamic option -specially if your main listening is rock, and loud music..

just how much more kickbass does the SLC Kick add? I currently have none what so ever.

I just ran wire for my components to my doors. Took out the 6.5 Woofers. So now im running 2 tweeters, 2 2" Speakers in rear doors, and 2 6x9's in rear deck, + 2 Diamond audio D6 subs at 300watts each off a A/B AMP!!

Yeah I know it's a mess. I'll be taking out the rear deck soon. and unclipping the rear door speakers. Once I do that I'll get the up front components and wire them up to the A/B Amp.

hows the cmx for rap?

a tad more aggressive and brighter. the slc tend to be laid back, i like the more aggressive sound in all my music (rap and rock mostly) i dont listen to jazz and all the other needs for more natural sounding speakers. So i like more boston pro 60's and cmx by rainbows, germaniums, stuff like that

I got the SLC 3 ways....Installing 3 ways is a bish but it is right in your price range. If I buy a nicer car, I will be going germs and using the three ways in a home audio setup.
