Rainbow comps

Man I just auditioned some rainbows last week and I was blown away by the sound quality. I have not heard any other speaker that will even come close to these and Ive heard quite a bit btw. They were 265 pro vanadiums k in stock locations and sounded awesome I couldnt believe those were metal tweets. Time to save. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The Rainbows are underrated! On the woofers themselves it says 80 RMS. I have them attached to a PPI PCX 280 that benches at 95 watts / channel and they love it.

What are you going to run them with? I ordered a pair of the pro's, and they are also 60 rms.
weird...are they the 4"? My brother had a soundstream 60 x2 amp on his 4" Contours(70rms) and they sounded great. Hard to imagine the Pro set, a step up from Contour, rated lower...

You can safely go with manufacturer specs for power and yield good results, but as said they are quite underated as far as the drivers and xover power handling goes-very well built....just use common sense

Anyways my 110rms Rainbow comp set sound unreal with a 270rms x2 amp on them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Yeah, they're the 4''. I assumed that they were somewhat underrated, but thats the rating I got from speedsound.com
