Radio has power but won't work

Ok need a little help I've got a 1985 Ford F-150 it has an aftermarket boss stereo in it with all new speakers and a new sub bought a boss chaos c600 amp got it all wired up and hooked up went to turn radio on and nothing happens. The power indicator on amp never lit but it did have power. Anyway the radio itself won't turn on at all the red security light flashes until you turn the key on. Could it of locked? Any ideas and help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance also it won't accept a cd

Maybe try to unplug certain parts of it and see if it makes a difference, or just find the manual and see if a fix is in there.

I've completely unhooked the amp and made sure all wires were good and still had nothing but a blank dark screen
