Radio getting power but has no display

I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500, I'll start from the beginning. About 4 years ago I bought an aftermarket radio because the built in radio in my truck the volume button stopped working correctly. I now have a Sony cdx-gt35uw. I tried to hook up the aftermarket radio and it seems like it's just draining my battery. The radio is getting power because I can insert and eject a cd but it doesn't have any display. My fuses are fine, I've checked them. If you can find me a correct wiring diagram for my truck model, because I could have my wiring wrong but I am pretty sure there's nothing wrong with that.
