I like to open my windows about 1/2" then play something right at tuning wide arse open. When the windows are flapping like a bird at ~40hz they usually get the point....lol

Some law enforcment officers use a ARC450DBS for reading here in Washington. When I test my systems we use the Calpro DB levelizer and the Highway patrol will allow readings at full voulume from ours but we tell them to hit the road usually. I have heard of lawsuits stemming from Sound tickets but if you look at the L.A.M.C. code 367:7559 it clearly states that the 90DB must be measured "inside" the vehicle not from the exterior.

The main concern is listeners cannot hear Emergency vehicle sirens typically rated at 110 db's at 40' away

Exactly, I hate that. I mean who in the right mind does shit like that?// Next time someone does that in my neighborhood Im going to follow them to their house and sit at the end of their driveway and rattle their windows. Cuz I wont put up with that.
