Radar Detector Suggestions!

Valentine 1.
As of now, there is still no equal.

GPS technology sounds cool, as long as it counts sources, and won't cover a false and a radar signal at the same time.
Read this review: http://www.radarroy.com. It states it still picks up another signal.

At the last radar “fishing hole,” I coaxed an officer friend of mine to park across the street from the Shell Gas Station. He parked in a car dealer’s parking lot to run his Falcon K band hand held. My interest was to confirm that the 9500i would alert to another radar source at this location, after earlier marking the location as a false alert.
I approached the officer’s location at normal highway speed. At over a mile away the 9500i began alerting to the officers K band radar gun and the signal strength graph increased as I approached. The 9500i was at full alert on the officer’s radar gun as I passed, even though I had previously marked the spot as a false alert location.

And as stated http://www.radarbusters.com/ is a good info site. If I had the money that 9500i would be mine.

Beltronics RX75Pro (plus maybe?)
Will completely pwn all other mentioned in this thread.

Had a friend go from a Escort X50 to a Bel995, and like the Bel a lot better.

Beltronics is just superior IMO. Plus, they're like 20minutes from me. Their product speaks for itself.

Obviously your friend is just biased toward the price. Beltronics and Escort are one company.

The 9500i is very interesting but price is holding me back. V1 is also good but it falses much more than the X50 but it has its advantages at laser detection but isnt that what laser jammers are for lol.

phazer 2. radar scrambler. i have one, love it.
illegal in a few states tho
Its basically a radar jammer right? That is illegal in every state under Federal law. Laser jammers are legal in most states. Illegal here in IL but Im still gonna get one.

Valentine 1 is the best...just pay the $400 and enjoy it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Trying to find unbiased radar tests to prove this on the net is very hard to find though.

valentine owns all alllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Not really, the Bel 995/Escort 8500 are just as good if not better. THE ONLY BENEFIT that the valentine has is the arrows.... I guess that's a cool feature. Something I can live without //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Bingo! Minus very small, and irrelevant differences (voice alert/tech display/etc) the 995 and 8500 are identical. I have owned both. They're the same company with the same product.

Again, in many tests the Bel/Escort detectors have proven superior.

I have a near new 995 for sale if anyone is interested. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with the Bel RX-65 or STi, Escort x50, or 9500i, or the V1. Each can do something slightly better than the other. What's the best ,well no matter what it'll only end up as someones opinion.

Oh ok didnt know that. But either way they are the same company. The x50 is actually a higher rated detector than the 995.

If you guys want unbiased test reviews check out this site. These guys own like one if not two of each detector (at least the good ones).

Every test review site is different. http://www.speedzones.com/ There is no way to prove one site is less bias than another.
Guys of lidar is very well known. Also check out radardetector.net. A large rd forum where you can pretty much find anything you need to know about any countermeasure device out there. Radar Roy is admin of that site so its reputable. GOL also hang around there as well as owner of Veil and others.
