i have been considering purchase of this deadener and wondered if anyone has had any experience with this stuff (RAAMaudio RAAMmat BXT.) i am looking for around 120 sqft of it and also wondered what some good sites were to buy this deadener.

I put about four layers of the stuff on my doors...excellent product. You can only buy it direct from Rick, his CS is superb.

I bought some about a month ago, but have not installed it yet, so can't comment on the performance. However, i can tell you that Rick at Raamaudio is a great guy to work with, so you definetly want to buy it direct. He is very informative and willing to work with you. make sure you let him know that you are a member of this forum.

No, because Rick won't authorize it.

You might want to browse the F/S section of this forum or EliteCarAudio.com forums for folks that have some extra that they don't need.

Otherwise, you're limited to buying it direct from Rick.

Do you have any reservations about doing so?? If not, I don't see what the problem is...

And it's also asphalt-based.

Asphalt-based deadening is terrible.

The reason you can't get it non-Rick is that shipping sucks up alot of any savings. Rick pays to have it shipped to him and then to you. If he had another guy selling it, the only guy happy with that deal is the UPS guy who handles Rick's shipping.

Rick is a good guy, takes care of his customers, know alot about car audio, about deadener, about about how to make a customer for life (there are a lot of these around most of the forums) and he recognizes when he makes mistakes and fixes it on his dime (which happened several years ago with some of his deadener). Rick is the real deal.

I would have no problem running his stuff in my own car if it wasn't for the fact I work for someone who sells dynamat and cascade.

The deadener is already an AWESOME deal at the price you can get it direct from Rick at. And it's just like buying from companies like Soundsplinter, eD, etc.....you are buying direct from the company. Buying anywhere else would inherently be more expensive since you now have a 2nd company making a profit on the product, more shipping expense included in the price, etc etc.

But, if you are a member of ECA Rick will give you a $20 discount off of the price listed on Raamaudio's webpage.

Anyways....I'm with takeabao.....I will forever be loyal to Rick and Raammat. Rick is an excellent, excellent person and Raammat is the best value deadener on the market. I've tried SS Damplifier (because I got it for a great deal from another member), and didn't like it nearly as much as I liked my Raammat.
