"reverse" subwoofer

does anybody have their subs mounted reverse/inverted? i never really saw a point to doing this but some people swear by it.

right, but if you invert the subs and the port (assuming it's a ported box) is the same size doesn't that affect the tuning of the box?

I do occasionally. In my big box it seems to help airflow down the port to have them inverted.

I've tried mounting several sizes RF T1's and T2's inverted and I never took it to a meter but it didn't seem as loud every time I did it and ends up being switched back after the first test drive, but it does look pretty neat.

i noticed a diff. some people might not because they can't hear the change as good as others, n will lower the tuning.
