"Must own" Xbox 360 games

man my gf just got me one yesterday for my b-day (small world huh) i am pickin up reg xbox games i liked for cheap.. im really waitin for GTA 4 and UFC and Madden 09.. whats the consesus to buy?

I have Rainbow6V.

I like it far better than GOW...but I like "slower" types of games rather than running around hitting folks with chainsaws.

ya i have not bought any xbox games since the 360 came out, i just told myself that i wasnt going to waste any money on that, but ive got a LOT of regular xbox games and plan on putting the original xbox in my truck anyway so it will still get used.

I definantly like halo 3 and COD4, those are really the only ones ive played so far.

Oh and Good girlfriends FTW!! ha.

Gears of War (I liked it...multiplayer was fun!)

Mass Effect

Halo 3 (of course)

Rainbow 6

Project Gotham Racing 4

COD4 (CoD 2 was awesome in it's time. I like the company that made 2 and 4 way better then the company that did 3. 3 was too lame to me)

thats it for now.

Gears of War 2, CoD5, Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway, Battlefield: Bad Company and Alan Wake look like they will be fun.

what about need for speed pro street? never played it , or seen it played , but the commercials looked pretty pimp.
ill be checking out the RB6V soon and some others. i usually go to ign.com and look through the reviews. anything with a 9.0 or better is probably worth checking out.

I would avoid ne of the newer need for speeds, at least in my opinion they have been lazy rehashes, and you should just stick with the older ones.

EA likes to milk their licenses dry until the IP becomes notoriously bad it seems. I'm not a big fan of their games typically. I was stunned to see rockband was published by them. Almost mad i was buying their product.

Just check out older ones, or wait for the new Midnight Club LA to come out, that game will be much better. More love goes into midnight club games than the newer NFS.

the original was a port to ps3 actually, it came out after the 360 version had shipped.
Some critics said the graphics weren't as good as the 360 version, but I played the PS3 version and thought it played well. I would probably buy it for the co-op play, since its 4 player co-op online.

Rb6V2 in some reviews, and in the videos as well, has a noticeably choppier framerate for whatever reason, despite very little visual overhaul.

Still got good reviews tho, downside to co-op on this sequel, is apparently its only 2 player, not 4.

I knew the original was a port to ps3, and it showed. I played it too as im big into sports games. comparing it to the latest one it was very similar to the porting flaws that the original version of the ps3 was.

halo 2 sucked - i never played 3

the only thing that made the first one good was the fact you could have four drunk ppl playing online at once - either deathmatch hang em high or CTF blood gultch - yelling and screaming - good times.

Oh man. Honestly, imo, it's a toss up right now for me between Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, and the Condemned sequel.

Fucking shit.

This is yet another expensive hobby of ours haha.

halo 2 was the biggest online playing game for regular xbox. It really was what "made" xbox live imho.

...Is it actually fun to play? Looks kinda of strange (game-wise).

Maybe I'll pick it up if i ever get a job!

The Condemned franchise is pretty unique.

Most of the time, your weapons are like pipes, rebars and 2x4's that you can find either in the walls, or like on the floor and shit.

Pretty sick game. You can tell they tried to go for a more "realistic" direction with the gameplay and what not.

In Condemned, you're also limited to the ammo that is already in the gun, assuming you've found one. After you're done unloading the lead, that's it. The gun is useless.
