In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men - yes, black men as well as white men - would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check that has come back marked "insufficient funds."

bunch of crap

it's no longer a race thing but a money thing

poor people no matter the color are just as bad off as all the rest of them

middle income people......no matter the color......are slowly climbing toward the upper income or sliding toward the lower income

And the rich are getting richer

and you can thank your local democrat for all of it.....all they want is for everybody to think that they need the governments help with everything and that the government should be responsible for peoples personal decisions

and as long as the people are reliant on the government for everything (ie...health care, housing, unemployment) they're useless to those who work and have to pay for everything through taxes.....
