The w1v2 is out and has been for a couple of months. The problem is that it's sold out and it's not a small box woofer. Needs just as much space as a w6v2 to sound good.

The IDv3 sounds like it would do the trick for you. You might want to look at a pair of 10's. They don't need a ton of airspace and can get very loud and sound very very good. They'll run you about $130 shipped from sounddomain (authorized) and that's a very good deal. If you get d4's you should end up with a 4 ohm final load so any solid amp that put's out 500-600 watts @ 4 ohm will do very well.

No. Amps produce a certain amount of power @ each different ohm load. So power is the only benifit.

have you considered running 10's instead or like 4 8's? My cousin has a similar truck and with 2 12's it just doesnt work to well for him because the enclosures. Thats why he is looking into do 4 8's hes considering the re8's or the kicker l7 8's. I would shop online for the stuff rather than through a local shop you can save alot of money that way. Also consider having a box built from someone and installing it all yourself. Take alittle but of time about 1 day to do it all, and you will save alot of $ that way.

yes, I am shopping on line and have made some purchases. I will let you know how things work with in the next few weeks. Oh i have up'ed the buget. when i am done I will have about 1600 in it, and i am building it with room to grow. I am getting a good foundation built right now. Might not be prefect sounding at first, but i have some good ideas that will happen down the road.

will a p6001bd RF be enough to get desent sound out of 2 alpine type r 12's at 2ohms. that would be 600watts rms at 2ohms? they can take more but that is the way i can go right now. sealed enclosure .9 cube for each sub
