So your telling me in my example that a Hifonics 1608D doesnt do dirty power? Even though 800wrms@1 is only 1/2 of what it is supposed to do. Which is well within its defined limitations. You should ask the people who use that term what it means. You rarely see anyone with much of an education level using that term.
Clipping isn't "dirty" it's just the USER trying to drive the amp past it's limitations. Distortion is distortion, and on
You get what you pay for. Tons of ppl use the pipe amps with decent results and they seem a fair value at the price you can get them for.... though they are not 1 ohm stable.
Look into Lanzar OPTI line or Maxxsonics stuff. They all make reliable 2000W range amps.
If you take any sort of logic class in college you will learn just because proof doesnt exist doesnt mean its not true. There are tests out there that put the AP15001 and the 3000D both being over rated. If we go by your logic there are no tests out there that prove the AP does rated power cleanly. Since you cant prove it does rated power cleanly the power it does do must be dirty.A lot of people rag on AP because it supposedly puts out dirty power, but I haven't seen a single o-scope test proving that theory. I have been using my AP at full throttle @ 1 ohm for a few months now. That's 1500w, going to a 1000w sub, and I haven't had a single problem yet.
I got one running at .5 rated at 2800.339 for that crescendo is a steal and very cheap for an amp that does that amount of power in my opinion...
