"Congress sued to remove prez from white house"

Age and Citizenship requirements - US Constitution, Article II, Section 1
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.

and all you guys are missing the bigger part..

that means that a citizen can be prez if he was not born here. that means he can be a citizen if he had lived here for over 14 years.

Bahahaha!
Another one bites the dust. By the way, he is white.............

Just a bunch of pissed off republicans sad and angry that their joke of a candidate couldn't beat Obama.
But Dems trying to impeach Bush for years wasn't? How about that congressman who wants to indict Bush and Cheney?

And the problems with Obama is that he might be dual citizen and his birth certificate was never given. If he is dual citizen, he is disqualified. I don't know about the birth certificate.

But regardless, I agree it's a futile effort.

Edit: After looking at the full article, this might be legitimate. I kind of hope Biden takes over and over zealously pursues liberal policies.

WRONG! Apparently....you really know what ur talkin about.....
He was born in hawaii....which at the time was a territory....NOT a US state.... when it became part of the country.... it is unclear to some as to how he became a citizen..

Hawaii was a state when Obama was born, pretty sad that you don't even know when Hawaii and Alaska became states.

sigh no reason people dont understand law's they dont know hot to read them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

american born, or a citzizen when the constitution was adopted ( pretty sure that counts everyone out alive today)

you must be 35 and have spent 14 years of your life within america.

I think people are confusing the "a citizen at the United States" part. People couldn't be citizens of the US before the adoption of the constitution. The constitution "fomalizes" the US.

david in german..... dat was cute and ur DEAD WRONG... as long as either parent is a citizen or ur born on u.s. soil , ur a citizen.
Incorrect young pup.

Plus, learn to use real words if you want people to take you serious.

I see the truth all the time here. Military families are the perfect example. (I am military here in Germany)

Co worker was the son of a German woman and an American dad, at 18 the German army came and took him to serve his mandatory service that ALL German male citizens had to do (at the time was 18 months) If he would have already gave up his German citizenship he would have been fine but he thought he didn't have to do anything (he was born in the American Hospital in Heidelberg Germany)

SO read a little and you may learn something.

Being the offspring of a US citizen does not guarantee you US citizenship, you still have to make application for it, and it can be denied. Don't argue it, I've done it and it's simple fact. Much of the hoopla about Obama's citizenship revolves around circumstances of his citizenship during the time of his education in Indonesia.
Some folks need to read a bit...

Birth Abroad Out-of-Wedlock to a U.S. Citizen Mother: A child born abroad out-of-wedlock to a U.S. citizen mother may acquire U.S. citizenship under Section 301(g) INA, as made applicable by Section 309© INA if the mother was a U.S. citizen at the time of the child's birth, and if the mother had previously been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year.

Can't remember if Obama's parents were married.

It is not automatic, you must act to report the birth to the proper authorities with the proper paperwork.
