I highly doubt anyone here has inside and TRUE knowledge of everything that has been brought up in this "case." People in this thread making inferences about Obama's life really are just going by what the media is spewing out, and they do not have documents at hand they are researching, so in my opinion all this theorizing is bullshit. If this case had any substance to it, people would be all over it, especially those freakin talk radio people. Instead they're talking about how Obama is a terrorist because his middle name is Hussein. I don't mean to trash republican media, or maybe I do, but are they that ignorant to think that a person's actions are based off a name he was given? This is yet another sad attempt by brainwashed people who think the US is going to implode because we have a black terrorist as a president.

I didn't mention the repulicans pushing for this. I was talking about them coming up with outrageous claims about Obama, and doing whatever they can to hate on him. Maybe not all, but the AM talk radio crap that's on where I live constantly does. The other day they said if you look closely at an interview with him, and you look at his fireplace, there seems to be a smudge on it, which tells us that he is trashing the white house already, and is disgracing the nation. Basically, I'm just sick of all these stupid stories, it's time we all try to better the situation we're in, because our country is not in the best shape. However, I realize that will not happen, especially because those people need to make a living as well.

Fact check is NOTHING OFFICIAL and by any standard. They also produce a pic that was proven to have been doctored. They took a hex editor to prove that. Also IF is was already proven why can't or won't he prove it again and put down the angry mob? Even IF fact check was right that still does nothing about him becoming a citizen of Indonesia

The problem I am having with this is that so much of this stuff is internet based and has about the same "feel" of credibility as the 9/11 horseshit.

As far as the Indonesian issue, I am pretty well satisfied that my instinct is right -- it's going to take a lot to show that an elementary school student voluntarily gave up his U.S. citizenship. That is going to be a right protected by the U.S. Constitution, and there has to be some showing of due process before that right can be deprived once you have it.

A few things. First, you can readily see that just to meet the statute there must be a voluntary act. Second, you can see also see that there is a distinction made between minors and adults. Third, by law it's up to you to provide links.

Again, you would not only have to show that the statute was met (which you can't), but also that the deprivation of someone's citizenship based on events that occurred when they were four years old does not violate the due process clause of the Constitution. Good luck with that.

Caveat: I admit that some older version of the statute may apply to Obama's situation. If that's the case, you prove it.

It has nothing to do with Hawaii being a state or not. It has to do with whether he was in fact born there or not. His grandmother from his father's side stated she was present at his birth in Kenya.
"a birth certificate from Mombasa Maternity Hospital and witnessed by Barack's relatives." This states his birth took place in Kenya.

He also lived in Indonesia for 4 years in which Indonesian did not allow dual citizenship at that time. This means he would have had to denounce his US citizenship to live there and be a citizen (He attended school there)

Obama's actual birth certificate from Hawaii has not been shown nor has their been any effort to show this.

It's a very sketchy situation. The reason people are worried about this is if he stays in for say 3 years before being found out to be ineligible for the presidency then all the laws, bills, etc passed by him would be null and void. That itself would cause a huge problem.

Am I saying McCain would do a better job? Nobody truly knows. Did I vote for Obama? No I voted for McCain. Obama is a socialist and socialism leads to communism which then leads to a collapse of government. Human nature is what causes communism to fail.

It is a popular trend in America to want something for nothing (This goes for all races.). People are not paid what they're worth anymore. People want 20$ an hour to do rudimentary jobs.

It isn't just based on that. It's a large legal discussion which has been going on for a while. You honestly need to research and look it up for yourself to form your own opinion. That way you leave out any biased opinions from any of us.

Personally I would love to see Obama prove me wrong and make this country better but I just do not see it happening. His motives, ideologies, stance on critical issues and attitude show me that chances are he will do nothing.

I actually supported Obama before I saw a certain commercial. In the commercial Obama himself states he supports second amendment rights. This was a bold face lie and "smack" to my face. I believe the main reason Obama has left the gun industry alone currently is because since his nomination much less his becoming POTUS sales have gone up between 300%-500% if not more. Messing with this would further deteriorate our economy.

It is based on him NOT being born in Hawaii according to Phillip J. Berg and even if he was he had his name changed to Barry Soetoro and was either acknowledged or adopted by his step father. Thing is according to records that no lawyer could find Barry never went back to Immigrations to reinstate his US citizenship which he would HAVE to do. To beat that he went back over to Pakistan and Indonesia in 1981 and some believe he did so as a citizen of Indonesia (he was 19 then and that is also relivent). There is a lot there which is why I said look it up...maybe I should have said look up the laws and what they were accusing him of????:laugh:In any rate as stated many times by all of his accusers it would be easy to disprove IF Obama was in the right and all he is doing now is spinning his wheels and wasting money and time for MANY including himself. They say they can prove this with a hex editor that proves the document was photo chopped. For something VERY easy to proof why is Obama letting rumors float? It is not good for the country. If any of you think that anything will come of this you are nutz. The courts had ample opportunity to act on this before the inauguration and they didn't. They dam sure are not about to make any ruling that would be a step in removing Obama from office and if you care about the country you will hope that they do not. If that ever happened the country would probably fall into a civil war.
