"ABC" Box build. PICS!!

what is the advantage to this type of box, opposed to a standard ported enclosure?
higher output theoretically, but you probably won't notice it much. What you gain in a second point of impedance rise due to the second tuning frequency which allows for reduce excursion and greater cone control (and a bump in power handeling if you will, more power to get to xmax)

having a second tuning (a low point and high point) also tends to flatten out the frequency response between the two points. wich is nice.

so question. is that 1" MDF that you beveled all the edges for with a router? or is that two sheets of 1\2 glued together? or some 3\4 that you beveled 1\2 off the edges? because that is a beautifuly constructed enclosure. id like to see what you did to measure\fabricate all those edges.

3/4 MDF and used a 3/8 rabbit bit to do the edges. Pretty easy and makes it go together smooth with a good seal. And to figure the cuts took me a while to get right. It was kinda confusing. I would tell ya, but I just sat down with pencil and paper and worked it out. I drew it out to scale. and figures from there. Sorry thats not much help.

I THINK it was desired width (- 3/8's) Then each piece would over lap the next in a circle.

That sounds very confusing but I dont know quite how else to explain it.

*edit*

If you look close at the bottom of the box, you can kinda see what im talking about.
