ok i was a big time smoker, anything menthol, about a pack to a pack n a half a day!!! i started at the age of 13 im now 22, so that's a good 9 years of smokeing... and allot of it i was doing...... i got tierd of the stereotype and the hacking up big nasty boogies in the morning..... so i went to the dr. and he tould me about chayntix its a pill that blocks the receptors in you're brain and help you quit...

now i have tried cold turky.. and the hardest part of that was i allways wanted a cig in the morning, and when i went for a drive... after dinner ect./...

i have been on this pill for a month now... it's the shit!! i havent thought about it or wanted a cig since i started takeing the pill

i allso tested myself buy skipping the 2 daily doses one day. nothing.. didnt want a cig... it's great.

now my romate is a smoker allso... it dosent tempt me or anything... the pills where about 250.00 for 2 month's of them... i think it was worth it.. i have no more shortness of breath.. i can jogg longer and farther then i was able to in the past....

just wondering if there was anyone else on here that has quit or is battleing it??

seth.

Congratulation!!!!

I have been smoking for 8 years now and I just can't quit it.

It takes a lot of courage and mental strength.

I regret the day when I started smoking.

Congrets again!!!!

Cold turkey. Once you smoke "just one more" you've failed quitting (for that time).

I enjoy not having my hands smell like ***. Plus there are always better things to smoke.

It's all about will power man.. if you want to quit bad enough you should be able too.

For me the hardest part is the first 24 hours. If you go 24 hours without smoking a cigarette and brush your teeth like 3 or 4 times you can quit. You wont even want a cigarette, they taste like sh*t if you dont smoke one for a day.

Getting drunk is really the hardest part of not smoking. I'll go through a pack in a night if im f*cked up.

I am quitting June 23rd though. That is the date I have set. My favorite band of all time (TOOL) is going to the coliseum and i'm using it as a life changing event.

No chronic and no cigarettes...

I actually pushed my father into getting those pills (chantix I believe they're called) and last I recall its been sitting on his counter top for the last 3 weeks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I guess some people like being a tard, glad to know the pills work but "hes just waiting for the right time to take them" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

I dont know about the 24hour thing, but its different for everyone. Its true that you hate them after you quit. I personally found the only reason I ever did was because I had nothing to do for 5min at a time and had to pass the time someone. Stupid reason to smoke & smell like sh!t.

Stop getting drunk.

Everyone Iv talked that took them has quit within the first week.

I have had my prescription sitting in my car now for about 8 months to a year. At the current moment, I have no desire to quit. I mean I want to just to save the money, but other than that, I dont. As of right now, i set my date for sept 4th this year. Theres reasoning behind the date...but isnt important to anyone but me.

Also its nice to have insurance...5 bucks a month

I need 2 quit but I dont foresee it happening any time soon
there is a time for everything.

I wanna quit too dawson but i got way to much stuff goin on right now to even think about quitting. I honestly think smoking the only thing that keeps me from goin nuts.
