ok i have a JL12W7 in the JL box with the W7 logo on it,anyway standing up right its pretty loud, but when i flip it on the angled side so the the subs on like a 45 degreeangle it gets louder, but im wondering if it would be louder to face it toward the hatch(it in an 05' civic SI hatchback)or to face the sub toward the seats.

lol here are some MSpaint pics.

Reflecting off a solid surface at the correct distance will yield a wave reinforcement effect and boost output at certain freqs. This is why SUV's are loudest with the subs firing at the tailgate, cars by fairing at the rear trunk/wall, etc.
