quick question

alright using winisd and i got a problem i am not quite understanding...

ok what i got figured up is a port that is 4.25 wide 15.5 tall and 50.0 deep which gives me around 1cf for the port area. my box is 6.48 net with the sub displacement, but when i try to add 1 cf to the box size to add up for the port it changes my measurements for the port to 40 inches instead of the 50. would it still be tuned correctly or would it be wrong?

its late right now and i prolly have it right but my brain is goin to sleep on me so idk.

any help would be appreciated.

IIRC, winisd already factors in for port displacement. It asks for material wall thickness doesn't? That would be why.

I might be wrong, but that's what Im remembering.

as far as i see it doesnt ask for wall thickness. is it end correction or is it something else

i been using that but thnx =] and am i gona have enough space to even do a 47 inch long port?

 

like i said my brain is goin to bed early tonight but the box i got right now is 18 high 36.25 wide and 24 deep which gives me 7.47cf net. the thing i am worin on in winisd is sayin that i need a 7.48 cf net box with a port that is 4.25 wide by 16.5 tall by 47.5 deep. is this going to be possible to make it work?

 

its gona have to be a massive L port if i am thinking clearly...
