quick question

ok so my friend said he was talking to some guy on crutchfield and he thinks that i am underpowering my subs.. I have:

Amp: Hifonics Titan TXi7508, 500 RMS x 1 at 2 Ohm

Speakers: 2 Type R's 10" 500 RMS 2 ohm DVC

I thought it all matched up when i bought the system but.. idk please help! Thanks

well, the subs are 500rms each and the amp is 500rms total

so you are short by 500rms.

and I've heard to stay under the RMS rating like 80% but is it okay to do the full 100%? And do you recommend any brand of amp?

I am running 1250wrms on 2 350wrms subs:fyi:

you can over-power if you are smart about it.

and what amp depends on what fits in your budget. just look around the classifieds and you should find something of value.

How exactly does amp clipping happen, and how do you prevent it?

And what brand is an AQ1200?
