What amp besides the 1000/1? How big is your current battery? You gotta give us some details around here if you want any credible advice, man.

Its a clarion for the mids it doesnt say the watts, and I have the stock battery..

Install everything as your pickup sits and then check the voltage on your amp to see how much voltage you're dropping, if any.

Maybe just need a small Kinetic 600 or Batcap 800. Either should do you fine.

Parallel.

Run your power and ground wires from your + and - on your front battery, to the + and - on the extra battery.

From there, run + and - to the amp.

Would the 2nd battery drain quicker, cause its not going to be the same brand, or would you recommend installing 2 batteries that are the same?

You should always use the same brand batteries.....
