Quick Question

Hi

I recently got my subs (2 Alpine Type R 12") and my amp (Hifonics 1606D) installed and had a quick question for ya'll.

I've read on different topics about clipping the signal from your amp to your subs and I want to avoid that. I want to know what kind of adjustments I can make without doing this.

I have an Alpine CDA 9883 head unit.

Can I turn the loudness on?

Can I turn the subwoofer level up?

Can I turn the Bass up?

Can I turn the Treble up?

Ipod Question:

Ipod's have a feature under EQ where you can turn Bass Boost on, would this clip my signal?

Thanks.

basically everything you said *can* cause clipping... it all matters on the original signal level... output capatbilities of the headunit and amp... and how they are set
