quick question

Originally posted by infinifosgate whats the difference between installing your subs with the front facing out, or the back facing out, is there any difference in the sound, or is it just a show type thing

i think its called inverting your subs, im pretty sure u might have more spl if your box is too small but other than that i think that if ur box is at the right specs for your subs then inverting them might cost u a little spl but maybe a little SQ im not sure

Originally posted by Jmac If your box is too small, inverting the sub can gain an extra 0.1 ft^3 which can make a difference, depending on the sub and the size of the box (Obviously, a 0.1 ft^3 change won't affect a 2 ft^3 box as much as a 0.7 ft^3 box) ...

You won't really gain SQ, but you will lose SPL in most normal cases.
if u don't gain SQ and u loose SPL then whats the point?
