quick question

What can a 3.5 dvc sub woofer be wired to? i mean like 4 ohms 8 ohms or what.....how do you figure it out?

It's either you divide by 2 or multiply by 2. So since it is 3.5 ohms you could wire it to a 7 ohm load or 1.75 ohm load. But if you had than one of them you would have more choices.

Is the 3.5 the manufacturer's rating, or is it just what you're reading on an ohmmeter? Many 4-ohm subs have a DC resistance around 3.2 to 3.7 ohms.

if you wire it in a series doesnt it make it stronger or something? i thought it did somehting to the driver if you wired it in a series.......

It changes certain characteristics, I believe Qsomethin and Bl. Search for series wiring and there should be a few threads where people metion it.\

Technically it changes the damping factor, although with solid-state amps, you'd never know the difference...
