quick question

I am about to install a panasonic HU in my friends car and I was wondering which wire I use for the amp remote is it the solid blue or one with the stripe??

It is the power antenna wire.

ok I installed it and everything works fine I used the one with the stripe cause that is the one for the amp remote, and everything works great, sounds better then stock with the stock speakers

good, you used the blue with the white stripe wire for the amp remote.

if you would of used the blue wire, the amp would of only turn on when you used the hu's tuner.

^^^ ya, Circuit city did that to my friends car. I've heard stories about it happening to other people so when he said the subs only played when the radio was on i knew exactly what it was.

Hah... yeah that's a common mistake. Some radio harnesses actually don't have a remote wire so the installer will be like "oh blue I'll use that."

If there is no amp turn-on wire then just use the accessory.
