QUICK QUESTION on DIGITAL + terminal!!!

I have everything starting up etc etc. Just no digital read out. I am wondering If I have to have a power wire running to the amp for a read out or if this ground is not good enough... I just wanted to put it somewhere quick to make sure it works.

touch it to the - battery terminal, if ur display lights up then that thing youve got it hooked to isnt even grounded. if it doesnt light up, return it for a new one cause its busted.

looks like a shitty ground to me. Try connecting it to the Negative on the Battery.. since its RIGHT THERE.
