im doin my box today, i got the wood cut and everything and I wanted to make sure the box would fit into my trunk so i screwed the box together and dropped it in, and it fits. When i was lookin at the back and on the sides, there is a small, small gap. Will the gap be gone once i glue it together? if not what else should i do?

It should be gone once you glue it together, but make sure you countersink the screws or else it will look like crap. Also, if the gap is still there after it has been glued, seal it up with some liquid nails and you will be good to go.

Good Luck, and be sure to make a work in progess thread with plenty of pics!!!

ight well heres what it looks like

heres the gap on the side

and here the gap on the back, but I was lookin at my box and the gap is only on the back corner and the wood connects with eachother everywhere else on the back except the corner.

I suggest using some Gorilla Glue, its about $5 for a little container, but it will last. It is expanding wood glue, so it will fill those gaps for you, much better than ordinary Elmer's would. And silicone shouldn't be used to fill gaps, only to ensure the joints are properly sealed.

When you use it, keep an eye on it and wipe it off while it is expanding. When it's dry you will never be able to get the runs off the sides of your box...

^^^thanks, just went and picked up some gorilla glue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif the Build take place in 5 minutes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would just use wood glue and silicone. That small of a gap, silicone would be fine. But personally, I would just recut the piece that is causing the gap.
