Quick Question about backup battery.

Do you foresee any problems with using the battery in my trunk for car audio as a backup battery for the alarm system? I don't see why not, but just thought I'd ask b/c I've never done an alarm install.

well there shouldn't be any problems, after all your just using it for the backup battery, The main battery the alarm should use is still the one in the front right?

not to thread jack or anything but there isn't a specific "back up battery" wire is there? Or would I just take the 12v constant wires and run a separate wire to each battery from them.

Just buy the $50 dei backup battery. It's gonna be some work to wire it to drain from the main battery until it is disconnected, and then have it switch to the battery in the trunk, and throw an instant trigger to set off the alarm if your battery being disconnected is the first thing the thief does. And if you get the backup battery it can be hidden right with the brain.

why can't you just split the power wire and run it to both batteries?
