Quick Question about an amp

I need to know how many watts this amp will give my system, it is on Ebay so I need to know asap. I have 2 kicker comp vr's dual voice coil 4 Ohms Subs. Can I hook them up to this amp for a 1 Ohm load and get 600 watts or will I only get 300?

300w x 1 / 2 @ 4 = 150w ea.

600w x 1 / 2 @ 1 = 300w ea.

That is the JBL 600, I am also considering the Directed 600D, but the auction ends in 2 hours. The Directed is at $90 plus $10 shipping. The JBL is at $70 with no bids and one day left. Which do you reccomend.

Brock - I'm not terribly familiar with JBLs amps....is that one 1 Ohm stable? If not he's not gonna be able to send 300 watts/each to a pair of DVC 4 Ohm subs...

the BP600.1 is 1 Ohm stable.

the output will be throttled to the same as at 2 Ohms.

The BP600.1? The older "Powervalve" series was technically 1 ohm stable, but it didn't offer any increases in power over 2 ohms.

the BP600.1 is a very good amplifier.

600WRMS x 1 @ 2 Ohms. 1 Ohm stable while still producing 600WRMS. has front and rear RCA inputs so bass won't be lost due to use of the fader, has dual speaker terminals for wiring two subs to teh amp.. very nice product for the price.

If this will work I will try and buy it online insted of the Directed 600D, thats up around $105I might get this JBL for $80 because its hidden. Would you do the same?
