Quick Q......

Im about to do a hack job on my double shot...to turn it into a normal ported enclosure.....If I take the angled board out I will have 2.8 cubes before displacement and it will be tuned to around 32 HZ....PERFECT....

Only problem is...no matter how I place the subs in the front ( I was just going to make a baffle and put it on) All four of them wont fit in a 30 inch x 14 inch face....

So my question is....What kind of adverse effects would I experience if I placed two on top and two on the front in a vented application? Cancellation? Thanks for the help....

If the box is all shared airspace you are gonna have some serious acoustic chaos going on there. Id suggest doing an Isobaric piggy back design (right term?). Anyways you place two subs in the box the standard way then invert the other two and bolt them over top of the two in the box. Then wire the two outside subs out pf phase with the ones inside the box so you get a push pull effect. You are gonna loose some output here but Im sure its gonna sound better then athe other way and if you dont like it then you can always try your first thought. But if you do your first thought first and it sounds like shit you cant go back without rebuilding the box.

^^^Good point I totally forgot about Isobaric....Anyone else? How much of a difference will I see in an isobaric placement over normal?

Edit: Ugh I just played with WinISD.....In isobaric it peakes just where the normal configuration would peak at....but a huge drop below and above 32 HZ.....not even close to flat.....Hmmm...

Edit Edit: If I add a piece of MDF along the wall of the port, Ill have an extra 3/4 inches to play with....It MAY fit then....

Holy hell....NEVERMIND!!! I realized I made a newbish mistake....there has to be 1.5 inches of seperation between each sub cutout....I measured that number from the edges of the board also....there only needs to be 3/4 of an inch from the edge of the board.....GOSH....
