i'm needing some 1/0. will the knu cheaper copper clad aluminum wire be ok for 1500-1600 watts and the big 3? my friend thinks i need the pure copper stuff. input please.

I always use welding cable, works great for my 3k.

plus is like 3 buck a foot for 1/0 at princess auto

welding cable is the way my friend, super durable rubber coating, fine wire tightly packed, and high quality copper.

check around at your local welding shops and find out the prices.

still kinda new the the highpower audio world, but whats the main advantages to welding wire over say, the knu klossus wire

well ive never used the knu stuff but I do weld everyday and i know the high ammounts of current that has to runt threw it. It just makes sense to me to use it for car audio, ive use the stinger stuff and honestly welding cable is just so much more heavy dudy. Plus if you know where to look its much cheaper than most of the car audio brands.

I run an aq 2200 off the CCA 1/0 from knu. Im pretty sure its good for the same as OFC, they oversize it to compensate for the lack of power handling so it works out the same. Anyhow I dont have voltage drops or any problems charging my batts
