I had an Eclipse cd3402 installed in a 95 camry and it was working properly. I had an Alpine cda-9825 installed in a 97 pathfinder and it was working properly. I tried to switch them out w/o changing the wire harnesses and neither one of them will work.

Do I need to change the wiring harnesses for them to work properly. I thought aftermarket wiring harnesses were all the same. They fit right into the slots but the alpine wont turn on and the eclipse says Error. PLz help.

no , not all wire harnesses r the same.

i have a pioneer and a blaupakt HU and the wire harnesses fit right into the slots. but the wires r in diff order
