Quick Disconnect project

I'm going to make some kicks for my civic and my ECU is located in the stock kick panel. Obviously I'm going to have to relocate it somewhere, I'm not sure where yet, but I'm going to. I don't feel like hacking up the wiring harness to the ECU so I'm planning on making a quick-disconnect that will hook to the wiring harness and be long enough to move the ECU elsewhere. How do I construct such a wiring harness?

this is something better suited for a civic forum or possibly a professional. if you know someone familiar with engine swaps they'd probly be your best bet.

um just legthen the wires in the ecu harness. etc.

Well this isn't really technical in that I don't want to modify the ECU in any way. What I want to do is know how to create a wiring harness equivalent to something that METRA sells to the public, except for a Civic ECU. But I'll ask a Civic forum anyways.
