i have a box designed here that is 30" wide, 32" deep, and 14" tall, with a 9" wide port, 3.6 cu.ft after port displacment, and 41.5 htz tuning, my question is when i drop my two orions in will it raise the tuning any, and if so to about what, and would that box be suitable for two 12" orion hcca 12.2s for spl

That is a lot of port area for two 12"s. You should have calculated net volume after including subwoofer displacement. Your overall net volume will be lower after you drop the subs in, causing your tuning to be slightly higher than expected.

alright thats what i thought, it would go up, im new to the box building and tuning, so what would be a good design for two orion hcca's, 30 is the max width i can go and 15 is the max heigth i can go, and i can go up to 36 in deep, im looking to tune to around 42hz or somewhere in that area,

been playing around with the reaudio port calculator, and heres what i come up with, i think ima build a box thas 30" wide 30" deep and 15" high with a double baffle top, ports is going to be on the front bottom of box at 3.5" tall and 28.5" wide, which gives me a tuning of around 40hz, and port area of 99, what you guys think of this design should it be ok for the two orions

4.4^3ft. at 36 hz tuning, and 4.15^3ft. at 40 hz tuning ofcouse thas all before i put in the subs, which i think they are .25^ft. displacement each

I could see the 4.4 cubes @ 36Hz with 85 sq inches of port doing quite well for output and shouldnt sound half bad either (ofcourse it'll really come down to your vehicle and some other factors etc etc)

i was gonnna put my stuff in my blazer but due, to some issues with it not wanting to run right, im in restricted space in my 95 integra which is what im building this box for, ya think i should run subs up port back or port out the front, or what do ya reccomend

yea ima take out my back seats and have the enclosure id say about 12 inches away from the back of the hatch, and i have a good layer of dynamat extreme on the back and top of the hatch, but ya think the 36hz at 85 square inches of port would be better the the 40 hz tuning

yea i wanna get loud on the mic, but i dont wanna sacrafice too much of the musical value either so id say the 36 hz, should be a good balance i think
