I have a Precision Power PCX 250 with 400 watt max power amp and I am wanting to buy a single sub to go with it. I have tried to understand the amp to sub power and I am more confused now than before! What watt single sub can I use for best sound? Many thanks in advance!!

thanks in advance!!
A sub with a power range of 300-500 watts RMS would be perfect for that amp. Anything with a higher power value will have a stiffer suspension which will dampen the sound output of smaller amps. A JL Audio 10w1v3-2 would work great with that amp. A bit pricey but totally worth it IMO. Other good options I have heard are the Rockford Fosgate P1 10", and Alpine Type S 10". These must be 2ohms versions. Good luck.
