I'm searching around for install ideas and see this.

What is the difference with having the two HD amps per coil rather than just having one mono amp?

That's pretty sweet. Not sure if I'd do 2 amps on one sub, but I like the idea.

Yeah, I'm just wondering what the difference is.

It is a royal PITA to get both amps level matched to output the same amount of power when you run multiple amps on a DVC subwoofer! Of course, it makes a cool conversation piece. I know someone who was running a pair of 18" DVC subs and he had a Rockford Fosgate Power 1000bd per coil.
