Hey so I have my two 4 ohm dvc subs paralleled once down to 2 ohms inside the box and hooked them to the terminals, once I decided to get a mono amp I needed them to be at 1 ohm, so instead of drilling any holes or re-wiring the subs I just ran a wire from the positive and negative terminal of one and ran them to the other then ran one wire to the amp. That should take it down to 1 ohm and work right? Pretty sure it will just want to make sure.

You don't have 2 DVC 4's wired at 2 ohm.

Not with a monoblock anyway. You currently using a 2 ch?

They were wired for a 2 chan at 2 ohms, so I just left them at that and paralleled them again using the terminals outside of the box

If i am understanding it correctly, If you get a mono amp that has 2 speaker input, the mono amp will bring it down to 1 ohm even though you have 2 sets of wires going to the amp. This is how i have mine set up since the 2 subs are on different chambers.

see diagram below the difference is your sub 2 wires instead of going to the other sub its connected to box terminal and 2 sets of wires going to your mono amp

No you still only run one set of wires to the amp if it's mono.
