Question....

Hi, I'm kinda new to the whole stereo thing and i have a problem with my new system.

Im running 2 10" Type-R's off of a Hifonics mono amp in stealth boxes in a firebird. I dont know if its just the car or what, but I can't hit low bass notes. It seems to hit all the other notes just fine. I put my system in a friends car and ran off of his HU and wiring and everything and it seemed to hit the lower bass just fine, but when I installed it in my car I was dissappointed. I dont know if its the car or my HU or wiring or just that im underpowering my speakers?? Please help!

So you transferred the subs with the box into your friends car to test it right? Not using different boxes right?

were the subs facing the same direction as in your car?

yeah they were facing the same direction but they were in the trunk of a grand prix running off his 8 gauge

Being in the trunk car, there were getting a "bandbass" effect, also could check to see if you electrical is lacking to same power of the other vehicle. And they could handle more amp power, but the amp you have should be enough to pwer them.

Sounds like your electrical is lacking. What battery Are you running and what is your alternator rated at.

i dont know what my alternator is rated at but its a stock alternator and i just have some exide battery

Never used those kind of boxes, I had mine on the flat part facing the rear, when it hit the hatch it was crazy bass. try moving the boxes towards the glass
