i have a 2400 watt rms power handling capacity from 4 subs and i pair it with a hifonics brutus 2608d...... what do you think will happen. They are 10" dual 2 ohm subs... they will be wired down to 1 ohm.

its supposedly 2600 rms @ 1 ohm.. but most agree that hifonics are a bit overstated. Even a 10% overstate puts me at safe levels.

I know that it would be safer to run an amp at around 2k rms... but im going to upgrade to 2 15s each off of 2608s later... I want to be able to buy a 2608 now and just get one later, instead of buying a 2000 watt amp then buying 2 new amps

my charging system is slightly upgraded now.. it idles at 14.5V and plays between 12.6-13.8V during heavy play and depending what i have on in the car.

even it its getting 2600 rms to he subs.... will safe play with my gain be ok on my subs?

I was at a show on saturday the 12th in Taylor Michigan and there was a guy with 8 2608D's on 4-15" American bass and did 160db in Dbdrag, Jake from Roadrage audio. So I also own 4 2608D's and I have to say he run's his @ 12volt I run mine @ 12volt and if there not doing 2500rms @ 1ohm then something majical is happening becuase 160DB with 4-15"s legal at the dash is hard to when you dont have 20k rms to work with, so to all the people saying this I have asked for video or some kind of proof(As in you ran a test and it came back that these amps **** or do not do there rated power!) and to date no one has shown actual proof. It's always heresay and bullshiit, so I say run the set up the way you have it and judge for yourself!

Thats wat i have always wondered..I have never seen actual numbers from a Hifonics amp just alot of hating going on..

i know the hifonics BXi 2008d (2000rms) ACTUALLY puts out 1984rms @ 14.4v to be exact. so yeah they do pretty close to rated power for the most part, but u gotta remember they're budget amps, and they're 10000000 times better than PA. but def not as underated as say kicker amps or anything like that. hope that helped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
