Question...

I want to wire up my subwoofers which are both 2-Ohm so that they present a 1-Ohm load.

This would require me to place the positive and negatives of one subwoofer's wiring into the positive and negatives of the other subwoofer's wiring. What would be the best possible way of doing this?

I'm trying to think of an alternative of just removing the coating and taking electrical tape to the wire. Also could I do this wiring technique within the enclosure and just use one box terminal?

wire them in parallel... connect both + and both - inside of the box, and then run those to the terminal cup
