Question regarding Autopage

I've got an autopage alarm, and have disabled the trunk switch in my car. A few minutes ago I felt my pager vibrate and then heard my alarm so I went outside... slowly because it's usually a dog bumped into it or something. I hurried when I realized the trunk/hood lights were flashing on the pager. My trunk was open! I have a very ugly box right now so I don't know if that's why my sub was still in there or if there's something autopage didn't do right and somebody else opened my trunk. My question is... is there ANY other way my trunk could have got opened???

We have 2 sets of new neighbors... so that's got me a little worried about my stuff for now.

you disabled the trunk switch, or the trunk release switch?

do you have any sort of factory keyless with trunk release?

vehicle make model year, other stuff installed, would help.

It's a 96 Corsica and it's just got my alarm's 2 remotes, one was 20 miles away with my wife's keys. And the trunk release switch inside my car is disabled and half a key is broke off in the lock which would be hard to work around to open it that way. I'm just very curious as to how it could accidentally pop open. There were no signs of tampering and nothing was taken... so it was either a very jumpy thief or a freak accident.

if the key is broken in the lock..then all they would have to do is find a way to turn it..correct?
