question on which way to fire my port.

i have a box i jus got half way built by ionsql its a 15 alpine r in 3.7 cubic foot box . The sub will face foward and he has the ports facing foward would that be my loudist set up if the ports are facing the back towards the licence plate or have have my sub pointed towards the back licenplate and port on the passenger or driver side i have 3 6 inch aero ports 16 inches long flared help me out guys would i screw up ion ionsql plans?
