SWINE FLU!!!!
Ok, i'm sorry if i'm bothering you guys, i've made a few posts in the last couple days.

The question I have is, I have an Orion 600D mono amp. This is my first amp/sub(s) i've bought, so I'm not looking to do anything amazing/expensive with my system. I'm just trying to get my feet wet in the Car Audio scene.

So for right now i'm not looking at spending too much money.

I finally decided on buying 2 12'' 4 ohm dual voice coilover Subs, and after reading a lot i decided on Type R's. Seeing as how they're relatively cheap(140 each) I figure i'm not investing too much into something that i'll eventually upgrade.

So basically I just want to know is

Will these subs get some nice bump from the amp i've already purchased?

and yes i've seen people flaming the type R's, but i've also seen the same people flaming them admit that they're nice for the price, and they sound good, they just don't think that the Type R's are godly subs.

600D:

RMS Power- 250-600 watts

Peak power - 1200 Watts

Type R:

RMS Power - 50-500 Watts

Peak Power - 1500 Watts.

why can't i use the type R? Since i won't exceed the peak, i don't have to worry about blowing it.

and this is a serious question, not me being sarcastic

04 or 05 Model Type R? You said you plan on buying 2 Dual 4 subs so you wire them to 1ohm where your amp puts out 600rms divide that by two and now you have 300 going to each sub. If you want to get the full potential of the Type R....get a bigger amp.

no i don't have a box, my roomate is a carpenter so i was just going to find some plans and have him build it for me.

as for the ammount i'd like to spend, if my amp is small i would imagine i'm not going to really be spending that much. i just want some good bass. nothing extreme, i just want to be able to feel it

i would probably spend around 200 on a single sub, 300 for a pair

edit: would something like this work well with my amp as a single sub?

oh i jsut read from one fo your older posts that u got a mazda 626.

not sure abotu fitting two 12's proted in there, i suggest one type r 12 or l7 12 and port that ***** and go nuts with it

an orion 600D would be more than enough for a Type R... it would even sound great on a pair. Don't listen to everyone who says by running it at it's rating you won't be able to get its potential out of it.
