question on speaker

which is better running high rate speakers off the head unit- whiich is a alpine 7873 or would u run low rated speakers......guy at shop said low would sound better than high because i would mostly need a amp for them to sound good.and with a low the head would give them enough power.

I would buy the best speakers I could, and run them off the deck until I got an amp.

No sense buying cheap crap youre just going to replace.

Speaker power ratings are maximum, not minimum. In other words, while a 100-watt rated speaker can handle more power than a 50-watt speaker, it doesn't necessarily NEED more power to reach the same volume.
