question on sound cancellation (v. pics)

i bought on 2 15" diamond audio d3's and recieved two different year models. an old model and a newer one. here are some photos i took to show what im talking about:

the t/s parameter and enclosure specs are slightly different on both subs...could be .001/.01/.1/.20/etc. the physical dimensions and wrms rating are exact same though. i can post all specs if needed. the new model has a much stiffer surround.

i talked with an diamond audio tech and he said i will get very little sound cancellation but not noticeable. id like to hear what are your opinions on this issue? id like to know if its worth selling the old model and rebuy a new one:crap:

ehhhh....after the stiffer one breaks in a lil and loosens up there wont be much a differant...........if you happen to find someone to buy the old one quickly and find a newer one for cheap then do it....other wise it wont be worth it cause you probly will NOT notice a differance....unless u invert them no one will know the differance....

i used to have 3 JL 12w3's ina JL power wedge....well one day one of them crapped out...unable to find another dual 6ohm one online i went to a JL dealer.....after reluctantly paying a shit load for a replacement i realized he gave me a v2 instead of a v1.....sure enough i stuck it in there sharing the same air space as the other and didnt really notice any differance....a lil louder if anything, but not by much..... you be fine man

You wont' get cancellation by using different subs, period. You may get a uneven F/R, but a ported box will give you that too, any guess how many members have a ported box on this forum? Dont' worry about it, if the T/S are close dont' worry about it.
