Yeah, well I just got these batteries in and the D3100 sits at 12.63 and the D1200 sits at 12.56. Just wondering, do I need to do any type of charging or anything special before hooking these up or do I just drop em and let the alt go to work?

The d1200 is going under the hood, 3100 in the trunk.

Thanks.

Drop them in, and let the alternator do it's magic.
Alright cool, that's what I figured but I saw some orange caution paper that said something about charging. Couldn't read it fully as it got wet and the color ran, but it said something regarding charging them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Thanks.

I bought them new from Jegs. I'm kinda hoping I can just drop them, as I don't have a charger for AGM batts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Anybody else wanna chime in? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Yeah, I'll chimne in. The guy that says to charge them first doesn't know what he's talking about. As long as you're showing anything > than +12V they're ready for use.

Some people should not comment on things they're ignorant of. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Any tips on securing the battery in the trunk? How should I go about it?

Sorry to say but any new battery or old for that matter needs to be charged prior to installing it.The alternator is not a battery charger.

So maybe you should just not comment:rolleyes:

my powermasters also came sitting very low. thats just the way they come. put them in and at night just hook your car up to a charger. when i got mine i used a 3 amp trickle charge. a month of that got them sitting higher.
