depends on the model. If its the 1200 or 1000 then its a collector item.

Yea there is a place to send it but not sure if its worth it. It is red and I am not sure the model number but I will look it up at home.

I think there is a place by the name of TIP or something that specializes in repairing old Linear power amps, I'll try to dig and verify that name.

One other question, I just bought a 1000 watt Alpine and now the lights dim with each bass. Is a cap my answer?

caps are useless look into the official big 3 wiring thread in the wiring and electrical section here, it is a sticky at the top of that page

the older amps are probably higher quality than the newer stuff as they used better components, but the newer stuff is smaller lighter and more efficient

no problem, after upgrading your wiring and if you still have dimming look into a better battery. Caps are probably the best marketing scheme stereo companies have ever came out with

The wiring that they ran was 4gage wire kit but I am running a soundstream lil wonder for mids and the Alpine.
