Question on flared slot ports.

Using that " Bending/Flex wood "

... How many layers to apply? or will it be firm/sturdy enough using (1) .25"-.5" piece...

I've seen some use (1) .25" and (1) .5" piece.

You dont actually just "bend" it. You make relief cuts in it first.

yes another thing to help is if you can get the temperature of the wood up a bit.

if you can get a couple of those red lights these use in restraunts to keep food warm put those above where you cut the kerfs.

... Asking because I haven't personally flared a slot port. ( I always figured it's for show purposes ).

3) let dry

4) sand down the water damage

5) and apply

or u can do it the right way and

cut the slits into the wood

put filler/glue in between the slits

bend to desired position

let dry.

if you cant get it to bend ur cuts are either not plenty enough, not deep enough, or your weather is just ****ed???

just let the wood dry after you soak it, duh

are you asking about kerfed ports? or were you asking about this

i think its the same as doing it yourself, but they just cut the slots for you
