question on ebay amps.

are refurbished amps good? what exactly does refurbished mean? Are they worth buying or am i taking a big risk on buying a refurbished amp?

i dont see a problem with it, just depends on who does the job

i bought a refurb viper 1200 and that was a great amp

refurbished means that they were either blown or had something on them repaired/replaced supposedly back to the original specs. i have bought one refurb before and had no problems out of it, but it is a risk

hmm.... thanks for the help ya'll. but **** man getting that kicker zx1000.1 for almost under 300 bucks refurbished is tempting but ill just have to save up money for a new 1 i guess ****!

if it's a refurb it SHOULD come with warranty if it's from a dealer. most refurbs are sent back out to NEW specifications. since you mention it's a kicker i'm sure it was tested throughly and benched. if it comes with warranty i'd contemplate on it. if it ****s up on you you can always send it back like any other new amp that craps out.

well according to the ebay auctions the new zx1000.1 are like 360+ unless there screwing ppl over. maybe i should go to a dealer first then look at ebay or online stores.

100 bucks more and you can get the 1500. Saw that tnight and thought it looked like an amazing deal, thats brand new too no risk. If woofers etc is a good place to buy from that is.

I would buy a refurb. Ask around first see if you can get a lower price n i'm pretty sure you can usualy talk them down a bit
