Question on CDt's power handling

Just bought a pair of Cdt's CL- 61a. 110 rms per side, and I have a good amp to power them. The kicker 650.4 that pushes 120rms x 4 at 4 ohm, but it can be bridged to 325 x 2 at 4 ohm.

My question is whats the rms power handling on each tweeter and each mid?

I want to get the most output of these comps without blowing them.

You're either going to have 120x2 with two unused channelse or 325x2. You are probably better off just running two of the channels on your amp.

well if I run only 2 of the channels, im only getting 55rms to each tweeter(2) and each mid(2), but when im trying to find out is what is the rms for each tweeter, and each mid? Or did I just answer my own question at 55rms each tweeter and each midrange?

My question is what is the rms of each mid and tweet?

If you cross them @ 100hz the power handling goes up some too.

CDT used to have the ph rating @ around 60hz.

Very generally, if you have a sub and are high passing the component speakers at the typical 80Hz - 100 hz, components can handle about twice what they are rated for full-range.

I looked up the CL-61 and the rating I have says 90 watts RMS from 60 - 20HZ.

So, with the high pass around 100, they should handle roughly 180 watts.

Sounds like you will have more power than you need. I would bridge the amp, maybe set the gains a little low, and just go easy on the volume control, baby it. So each tweet and midrange can handle 90 watts rms, which is 180rms per side? So setting the gain around 200 is okay then?
